Morning Prayer

On Tuesday and Thursday mornings, we gather together for a time of Morning Prayer. Morning and Evening Prayer are part of the distinctness of Anglican life and worship, and we’d love for you to join us. If you’re now familiar with the two services, Morning Prayer usually lasts about 20 minutes, and it consists mostly of times of prayer and Scripture reading.

Children’s Church

During our 11:00a celebration of Holy Communion, Michelle Strachan leads the children in a time of basic version of Morning Prayer in the Fellowship Hall. The children and their teachers begin the service in the sanctuary, and after the processional the celebrant prays for and blesses the children, and then he dismisses them to Children’s Church. If you would prefer for your children to say with you during the service, that is perfectly fine. The choice is yours.

Silver And Tin

One of the ways we support mission projects at SDAC is by designating the first Sunday of every month as Silver and Tin Sunday. Parishioners bring to church pocket change, bills or checks  (“Silver”) for missions and canned, boxed or paper goods (“Tin”) for local food banks. The gifts are then presented, blessed and shared.
