The Church is called to be a compassionate force for good in this world. This is part of the Gospel. At St. Dunstan’s we try our best to bring the compassion and love of Jesus to those around us by reaching out to the poor, the broken, and the outcast of our society. We believe compassion and mercy should always triumph over judgment and condemnation.
Our parish sponsors two troops which meet on site. The girls do various projects on campus and also purchase, cook & serve our annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper. To learn more about our girl scout troops or how you can participate, contact Doris Perry or call the office.
This ministry serves disadvantaged children, teens and families in Clearwater and Largo by sharing the love of Christ through after-school programs, a Saturday “Sunday School,” summer programs and special events such as Thanksgiving meals and Christmas gift giving. We support two dialysis center food banks with food from our monthly Silver & Tin collections. Also, there is a basket on the parish hall bookshelves to accept donations any time. There is a list of suggested dialysis patient foods on the domestic missions bulletin board. Contact person is Deacon Karen Meno.
RELIGIOUS COMMUNITY SERVICES (RCS) We support this community food bank by collecting non-perishable foodstuff in a barrel by the parish hall door. Our monthly Silver & Tin foods also go here. To learn more about RCS, go to http://www.rcspinellas.org/.
